Notes from the Composer:
DW912 - Khalif of Kotar:

Playing Standard: Grade 4
Playing Time: 2 min 30 sec

This piece has a real Moor-ish feel that exudes the feeling that the chief – the Khalif - is watching and knows all about you. The composition starts in E minor and progresses to G minor before returning to E minor. The treble consists of stabbing four-note chords as well as the mischievous melody. A bass solo appears at the end of the first section (it’s the Khalif’s security man) which announces a new theme before the treble takes over. There’s skullduggery afoot, so watch those triplets and stabbing chords!
