Notes from the Composer:
DW926 - Sunny Days:

Standard: Grade 6
Playing Time (approximate): 1 min 45 sec

Written in A major throughout, this piece is for the performer who wants to play in a jazzy, but controlled style. It is a jazz waltz, but with a 6/8 feel at times, and demands a loose, fluid style of the performer, together with technical playing skills that melds melody, harmony and good fingering ability into one cohesive unit. The first 8 bars of the 16-bar first section (following the 4 bar introduction) represent a brazen theme which could be an introduction in itself, and is restated twice more during the piece. The main theme, or tune, comes later. Overall, it is a swinging, upbeat composition that will leave the performer, and the listener, wanting more.
