I trained in classical piano at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music in the 1960s before going on to study accordion under Sylvia Wilson in Glasgow some years later, and have taught both piano and accordion while enjoying a wide-ranging musical career playing in various bands and music groups.
In more recent years, summers were spent with the Damfankle Ceilidh Band on board the Lord Of The Glens, the magnificent cruise ship that transits the water of the Caledonian Canal from Inverness to Fort William and out around the sheltered waters of Scotland’s hauntingly beautiful West Coast.
When I retired I decided to devote my time to producing quality arrangements for the traditional Scottish music I had added to my accordion repertoire over the years, and to make these available to both self-improvers and teachers alike.
