Notes from the Arranger:
kfremar306 Vast Mountain:

In this work, I wanted to depict the majesty of the mountains. Use of some quartal-quintal harmony provides a spacious sound. The bass-chord idea is used in the left hand, but is slowed down—again to depict vastness.

An accented open fifth portrays perhaps the high snow crested peaks—the wind whipping the snow up spectacularly in the golden sunlight. The work ends on the open tonic major seventh chord to stretch open the big sound. This composition has a full sound, but is quite easy to execute.

Hopefully the listener will hear and feel the power of this mountain.
