For
those of you who aren't so familiar with Lars Karlsson and
his music, I would like to tell you a little bit about him.
Lars is 25 years old. He has played the diatonic accordion
since he was 10 years old and has during the years, made several
tours to Sweden, Norway, Finland and Holland. In 1995 he received
his community's culture scholarship.
The same year, he performed at the Gala Concert of the 1995
Coupe Mondiale which that year, took place in Avesta, Sweden.
Lars has made several recordings prior this one. In 1990,
he made the cassette "Julifrojd" and in 1993, he
made the CD "Lufsen". The same year he met the Norwegian
diatonic champion Bjornar Haugen which led to the CD "Durspelsduell"
one year later.
Lars is also a bass player and has been with different rock
bands and recently had a blues band together with Thomas and
Goran who also are playing on this CD/cassette. With this
recording, Lars also wants to show the width of his musical
styles that he enjoys performing.
On some of the tracks, we can also enjoy the appearance of
Anders Larsson, a 23 years old accordion virtuoso known for
his performances on Swedish Television and also known as the
"Accordionist of the Year" in Sweden in 1991. |
