The purpose of the album was to record the concert tour of Maria Pomianowska's Orchestra, which established in 2013, performed during the 10th anniversary edition of the Mazovia in the Crown Festival organized by the Mazovia Region Centre of Culture and Arts. Their concerts were held in precious, historic, buildings in Oleksow, Chorzele, Szrensk, Otwock, Myszyniec and Sokolow Podlaski.
The LutoSlavs were formed to function as another original programme of the brilliant multi-instrumentalist Maria Pomianowska, succeeding previously performed projects Chopin on 5 of the most eminent 20th-century composers from the contemporary listeners point of view.
The album contains the studio recordings of the pieces aranged for Maria Pomianoska's Orchestra in the Year of Lutoslawki (Little Suite, Bucolics, Folk Melodies of Witold Lutoslawski, folk tunes from the regions of Mazovia, Bilgoraj and Opoczno). |
