"Accordion
Tapestry" was Pearl Fawcett's first recording and it
took the accordion to a very high level, using one instrument
which comprises both acoustic and electronic accordion. The
following is an extract from the original sleeve notes for
the recordion:-
"The standard of performance here heralds a new recording
in accordion playing and demands tremendous thought and technical
skill to utilise the instrument completely, with a perfect
control of both right and left hands and bellows manipulation.
Add to this the important words "artistry" and "musicianship",
which come from a natural feeling and rigorous musical training,
and the picture is complete. |
