The new CD is called "Red
Guelder-Rose". The composition under the same name is based
on the famous song by I. Frenkel and is devoted to the memory of
V. Shukshin. It became one of the most popular Semionov's works
due to its touching expression, dramatic emotional development,
and unique interpretation.
The new CD presents other of Semionov's compositons created in the
1980's including Sonata No.1 in 3 parts, the second part of Rhapsody
No 2, four Rhapsodies based on folk themes: Lithuanian, Estonian,
Ukrainian, and two pieces based on Belorussian folk tunes. In addition,
there is a charming miniature, improvisation on Russian folk song
"Belotisa-Kruglolitsa".
This recording shows the originality of Semionov's compositions.
Also, all compositons are interpreted by the author himself, who
is nowadays one of the leading accordion players. His performance
is marked for its emotional brightness, natural improvisations and
spontaneous development of musical events. His style is one of a
true professional: fine intonational expressions, variety of articulational
gradations, deep understanding of phrasing and above all - technical
perfection.
It is my opinion, that you will get a true pleasure listening to
the inspiring music performed and interpreted by Viatcheslav Semionov.
