| ec213 After the Battle of Aughrim:

A few words about the music: The title of this tune refers to a decisive battle fought on July 12, 1691 in which the English King William III defeated the Irish Catholic Jacobite resistance. The tune is in the modal key of A dorian (like A minor but with a sharped 6th). This one-page arrangement includes three lines, melody, descant, and harmony, and can be played as a solo or ensemble on accordions or other instruments. It is bundled in a set of four pages: treble clef for C instruments, Bb transposition, alto/treble clefs for viola, and bass/tenor clefs for cello. Chords are given for guitar or accordion.
