It is called "Once more for the last time" and was written as a tribute to my accordion teacher Bill Sharp with whom I had lessons for many years, who died in 2000. "Once more for the last time" was a catchphrase Bill used to use when rehearsing with the accordion orchestra when we seemed to sometimes play a piece several times "for the last time" until it was right. |
