Paul Chamberlain was born in Scotland in 1981 and is based in Edinburgh. He has already compiled an impressive list of concert appearances, and competition successes.

A regular performer, Paul has a wide repertoire across many genres from Classical Bayan works and transcriptions, to French & Continental Music and Scottish traditional music.

His performances can be suited to any style of concert or audience and can range from calm, beautiful romantic feelings, to wild energetic performances that fill you with such a sense of energy and musical ecstasy.

At the age of eight, he began learning the piano accordion before changing over to playing chromatic button accordion ten years later and went on to win many regional and national competitions in the UK. As a solo performer Paul has made several appearances at music festivals including visits to France, Italy, Finland and Russia.

Paul now plays Bugari instruments - a 64 note 2RC Bayan, and 58 note musette tuned Double Cassotto Gold.

Paul has is a keen composer and has produced a wide range of accordion music.

Paul is also a member of the group "tradlab", and their unique style of traditional Scottish music is extremely popular at weddings and ceilidhs.
