 Yuri
Shishkin is a well-known Russian musician, Laureate of international
contests held in Klingenthal (Germany, 1988), Kansas City (the
United States, 1990), Castelfidardo (Italy, 1991). He was born
in 1963 in the city of Azov, Russia. Yuri became a college and
a conservatoire graduate in the city of Rostov-on-Dn, and then
his postgraduate traineeship followed in the class of Professor
V.Semionov at the Gnesins' Russian Academy of Music in Moscow.
Yuri Shishkin is a performer who has an enormous number of concerts
annually throughout the whole world. His masterly performance
represents synthesis of passion, unrestricted technical perfection
emotional magnetism and sincerity. He draws the ideas of his interpretations
from the very realm of inspiration where probably music resides
and where beauty itself is born to come to our world. He is interesting
each time, in each of his performances. And this record is just
a momentary touch with the bright and rich world inside his soul.
